A New Roof, Bath & Closet for an Old Home

This ancestral home has been in the family for six generations. The roof had originally been cedar shake but those had been replaced at some point in the past with slate. The roof was now sagging under the weight of the slate, so we pulled that off and replaced it with a new standing seam metal roof that should last for many years to come. New trim on the exterior helped complete these exterior improvements.

We also added a dormer on the back side of the home, which allowed us to expand and remodel a cramped bathroom on the second floor. We installed a new shower and some nice cabinets. We also built a "California" sized walk-in closet.

The customer has plans to bring us back in the future to update the insulation with high R value dense pack.
