Home Remodel - Middlebury, VT

This project was a rehab/remodel for a repeat customer - it means a lot to us when folks invite us back into their spaces! We'd worked on another home for them, so when they purchased this "fixer upper" in Middlebury, Vermont, we were happy to step in and help.

This was a complete remodel of a house that involved a lot of structural work. We saved what we could, including tile in one of the bathrooms and some of the flooring. We removed walls downstairs to combine the kitchen/living/dining area, completely gutted the kitchen and added a structural beam to shore up the 2nd floor, as the existing beam was inadequate. We combined two small rooms into one larger one and used some of that space to enlarge a small bath. We replaced a portion of the basement stairs as well.

We installed new windows and doors throughout the house, added Brazilian Cherry and Maple floors, a new chimney for the wood stove, new bathrooms, a new kitchen, added insulation, and soundproofed the floors, as the client has four little girls!

We'll be returning to work on the home's exterior, including HardiePlank siding, PVC trim and new exterior doors.
